Overview
Join us for a full-day guided hike to Pico Viejo (3,134 m), the second-highest volcano in the Canary Islands and one of Tenerife’s hidden gems.
This 16 km trek takes approximately 9 hours and includes a 1,150 m ascent through breathtaking lava landscapes. Rated moderate to challenging, it’s ideal for fit hikers seeking panoramic views of Mount Teide, La Gomera, and beyond.
At the summit, you’ll discover an extraordinary 800-meter-wide crater, naturally painted in vivid volcanic colors. For the adventurous, an optional extension leads to the summit of Teide, followed by a cable car descent (ticket required).
