Are ferry tickets included in the tour price?

Yes! We provide a seamless experience and handle ferry bookings on your behalf. Once your tour is confirmed, we’ll arrange the ferry tickets for you. The cost of the round-trip ferry between Los Cristianos (Tenerife) and San Sebastián de La Gomera is approximately €70–€80 per person, depending on the season and availability. This amount will be added to your total tour cost, and we will provide you with the payment details for the transfer.

Is this tour suitable for children and older travelers?

Absolutely! Our La Gomera tour is designed to be family-friendly and enjoyable for all ages. The hike in Garajonay National Park is conducted at a relaxed pace on well-marked trails. Children will delight in the forest adventures. Older travelers have successfully joined us; our guides ensure a comfortable pace with ample rest stops. For families with very young children, we recommend the private tour option to tailor the itinerary to your needs.

How difficult is the hiking? Do I need to be very fit?

The hiking is easy to moderate. If you can walk for a couple of hours with breaks, you should be absolutely fine. The terrain in Garajonay National Park is uneven but we stick to maintained paths. There are some gentle ascents and descents, but no aggressive climbing. We typically cover around 3–5 km of walking on the 1-day tour, broken into sections. Sturdy shoes are important (no flip-flops!). Our guide will adjust the route based on the group’s ability—we won’t leave anyone behind.

What if the weather is bad?

La Gomera has microclimates—if it’s cloudy in one area, it might be sunny in another. We monitor the weather forecast closely. Light rain or mist in Garajonay is common (it’s what makes the forest so lush!), and we provide rain ponchos if needed. Usually, tours run rain or shine, as conditions can quickly change. If there is extreme weather or an official warning (very rare), we would reschedule or offer a refund. Rest assured, a bit of mist in the forest often enhances the mystical atmosphere! We recommend bringing a light rain jacket just in case.

Can I swim during the tour?

On the 1-day tour, unfortunately, no. There isn’t sufficient time for swimming on the one-day itinerary, as we have a full schedule of hiking and sightseeing. However, on the 2-day tour, we include a stop at a beach (usually on Day 2 in the Valle Gran Rey area or similar) where you’ll have the opportunity to swim if you wish. So if taking a dip in the Atlantic is on your wish list, consider the overnight tour. Either way, do bring swimwear for the 2-day option. And if you end up not swimming, no problem—the views and relaxation by the shore are still worth it!

Great question! Unlike large coach tours, our focus is on hiking and nature. We keep groups small, venture onto actual park trails on foot, and offer a more immersive experience. We also reach some off-the-beaten-path spots (like the Encantadora lake or lesser-known vistas), especially on the 2-day trip.
