1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a tour with Lava Land Tours (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“the client”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern the contractual relationship between Lava Land Tours and the client, in accordance with Spanish legislation, including the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007).

2. Booking and Payment

  • Reservation Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a deposit, as specified for the particular tour.
  • Payment Methods: Payments can be made via our secure online payment system using credit/debit cards or other accepted methods.
  • Pricing: All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Late Bookings: For bookings made within 1 days of the tour date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Please refer to our Refund Policy for detailed information on cancellations, refunds, and related procedures.

4. Alterations by the Client

Modifications: Requests to modify bookings (e.g., change of date or participant details) must be made in writing. While we will endeavor to accommodate such requests, changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

Transfer of Booking: Clients may transfer their booking to another person, provided that:

  • The transferee meets all requirements applicable to the tour.
  • We are notified in writing at least 5 days before the tour date.
  • Both parties accept joint liability for any outstanding payments and potential additional costs arising from the transfer.

5. Alterations and Cancellations by Lava Land Tours

Minimum Participants: Some tours require a minimum number of participants. If this number is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the tour, providing at least 2 days’ notice and offering a full refund or alternative arrangements.

Significant Changes: In the event of significant changes to the tour (e.g., itinerary, price), clients will be informed promptly and may choose to:

  • Accept the changes.
  • Receive a full refund.
  • Opt for an alternative tour of equivalent value, if available.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for cancellations or alterations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or governmental actions.

6. Client Responsibilities

Health and Fitness: Clients must ensure they are physically fit for the chosen tour. Any medical conditions or special requirements must be disclosed at the time of booking.

Compliance: Clients are expected to comply with local laws and respect cultural norms. Failure to do so may result in removal from the tour without refund.

Behavior: We reserve the right to refuse service to individuals whose behavior is disruptive, poses a threat to others, or violates these terms.

7. Liability and Insurance

Our Liability. Lava Land Tours is committed to providing all services as outlined in the tour description. All hiking and guided land tours operated directly by Lava Land Tours are fully covered by Responsabilidad Civil (RC) and Accidentes (ACC) insurance policies under our name.

However, we are not liable for:

  • Injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the tour, unless caused by our negligence.
  • Delays or cancellations due to third-party actions or unforeseen events.

For third-party activities such as boat trips, jet ski tours, quad excursions, and similar services, Lava Land Tours acts solely as an intermediary between the client and the external provider. These activities are also covered by RC and ACC insurance, but the responsibility for providing and managing this insurance lies with the third-party operator conducting the tour.

Lava Land Tours cannot be held liable for incidents or issues that arise during third-party tours, except where legally required

Client Insurance. Although basic liability and accident coverage are included for all tours, we strongly recommend that clients purchase their own comprehensive travel insurance, which should include:

  • Emergency medical expenses

  • Trip cancellation or delay

  • Personal accident and repatriation

  • Loss or theft of personal belongings

Having personal insurance ensures a higher level of protection and peace of mind throughout your experience.

8. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Complaints: Any complaints must be reported to the tour guide or our office as soon as possible to allow for prompt resolution.

Formal Complaints: If the issue is not resolved during the tour, clients should submit a written complaint within 10 days of the tour’s conclusion.

Dispute Resolution: In accordance with Spanish law, any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved under Spanish jurisdiction.

11. Transport Services

All transportation provided by Lava Land Tours is private and exclusively included as part of the guided tour experience.

We do not offer transport, transfers, or shuttle services as a standalone product. Transportation is only available to clients who have booked and are participating in a guided tour.

Our company is registered and insured under Spanish law with REPEP (“Otros transportes terrestres n.c.o.p.”). This license permits us to include transportation strictly within the context of our guided experiences.

Transfers may include:

  • Hotel pick-up and return
  • Transport between hiking trails or activity locations
  • Any necessary logistics within the tour program

Lava Land Tours does not operate as a taxi, public transport, or VTC service. Clients may not book transport separately from the guided activity.
